Job Summary:


The Car Accessories Specialist is responsible for promoting, selling and installing car accessories to enhance the functionality and aesthetics of customers' vehicles.

This role involves interacting with customers to understand their needs, providing expert advice on products, and ensuring high-quality installation and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:

Customer Interaction and Sales:

  • Greet customers and provide a high level of customer service.
  • Understand customer needs and preferences to recommend appropriate accessories.
  • Explain the features, benefits and uses of various car accessories.
  • Prepare and present detailed price quotes and manage the sales process from start to finish.
  • Upsell additional products and services to maximize sales.

Product Knowledge:

  • Stay updated on the latest car accessories, trends and technologies.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the features and benefits of all products offered.
  • Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance product knowledge.

Installation and Technical Support:

  • Perform installation of car accessories such as audio systems, navigation systems, custom lighting, roof racksnand more.
  • Ensure all installations meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot any issues related to the installed accessories.
  • Provide aftersales support and address any customer concerns or issues.

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor stock levels and place orders for new products as needed.
  • Maintain organized inventory records and ensure accurate product availability.
  • Assist in receiving and stocking inventory.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate records of sales, installations, and customer interactions.
  • Process transactions and ensure all paperwork is completed correctly.
  • Prepare reports on sales performance and inventory status.

Customer Retention and Relationship Management:

  • Follow up with customers postinstallation to ensure satisfaction.
  • Develop longterm relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
  • Handle customer complaints professionally and work towards quick resolution.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in automotive accessories sales and installation preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical aptitude and proficiency with installation tools and techniques.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and build rapport.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills for managing records and inventory.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items.
  • Comfortable standing, bending and working in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.

Working Conditions:

  • Typically works in a dealership or automotive service center environment
  • May require occasional evening and weekend work to meet customer needs.

Compensation:

  • Salary plus commission based on sales performance.
