Job Description KEY DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing the Marine operation &fleet of 50 seated Catamaran's, 3 Patrol boats and 1Pontoon boat.
• Reporting directly to the Hotel Manager
• Liaise with Training Manager and Operation Manager forhe trainings of Boat Skippers, Crews and Marine Hostess
• Rostering, leave management and performance record of Boatcaptains, Crews, Marine Hostesses, Marina Team & Admin
• Inspecting the seaworthiness of all vessels
• Ensuring navigation/communication equipment are in operationalcondition
• Implementing & monitoring propergrooming and hygiene standards for Skippers, Boat Crew &Marine Hostesses as per company standard
• Makinginventory and replenishment of all consumable items
• Keeping record of boat equipment and tools
• Tracking andmonitoring all vessels
• Keeping record of all boatmaintenance (mechanical, electrical, navigation and electronicequipment)
• Ensuring boat schedules are carried out asper Company's standard
• Ensuring all vesselsare cleaned and maintained as per set standards without fail at alltimes
• Sole contact for entire marine operations
• Ensuring all boat assets are mechanically safe and clean
• Overseeing safety drills and rescue including sea trials
• Assessing and making decisions during bad weathercondition
• Liaises with local authorities andcoordinating with third party companies regarding repair andmaintenance with the technical team for entire fleet such as:Antifouling, Hull cleaning, Dry docking, Proper disposal ofbackwater and grey water, Boat engine and generators periodicmaintenance, Air-conditioning equipment, Safety equipment, Distresskits, Boat retrieval and rescue, Coordinating with coastguard andport authorities, Coordinating with engine/boat supplierQualifications
• 5-10 years Solid marina/marine background
• Has a valid licenses of the following but not limitedto:
• Yacht master/COC – 2nd mate or above
• Diving
• Any marine/marina certification (CMM& AMM/IMM)
• Familiar with the navigation chartsin Middle East specially in Qatar and borders
• Familiarwith navigation routes to other marinas in Qatar
• Wellversed in Maritime rules and regulation
• Customer/guestservice oriented
• Decision maker and a problemsolver
