JOB DESCRIPTION The GulfStudies Program is seeking a Full/Associate Professor who ismotivated to teach and develop graduate courses in the field ofPolitical Economy of the Gulf as part of the Gulf Studies graduateprogram.
Candidate should have strong teaching and researchinterests in economy, political economy and all related topics withemphasis on the Gulf region.
Primary responsibilities includeteaching graduate courses, contributing to the program curriculum,supervising graduate student research, and contributing to theresearch portfolio of the Center as well as the College.
All QUFaculty members must demonstrate effectiveness in the followingcategories:teaching, academic advising and program development,scholarly research, professional or creative activities andinstitutional/community service. Duties& Responsibilities
- Teach courses and supervise students in the area ofPolitical Economy of the Gulf.
- Contribute to variouscommittees at the Program, College, and University level.
- Contribute to the research profile of College throughresearch publications.
- Serve as graduate studentadvisor.
- Provide advice, support and supervisestudent's research and thesis
- Provision of ageneral educational lectures and sessions for students
- Active participation in the program and college activities andcommittees.
- Offer significant input into the furtherdevelopment of Gulf Program and Research Center.
- Provideservice to the profession, university, the community, and the Stateof Qatar.
- Perform other academic duties in accordancewith Qatar University academic by laws.
