About Role


Your role would be as part of the Cyber Security team working directly under the Senior Manager Cyber Security and Risk Management to support Cyber Security Operations & Incident Response function.

This is a hands-on technical cyber security role to be able to quickly identify the true cause of a security incident, determining the scope and impact, provide practical advice to fix and prevent the threats and if required, to assist with recovering critical data and services.


Role and Responsibilities

  • Implement security monitoring tools in the cloud & on premise & responsible for integration of standard and nonstandard logs into SIEM solution
  • Responsible for compliance to SLA, process adherence and process optimization to achieve the team's operational objectives & and initiation of corrective action where required for Security Operations Center
  • Responsible for managing relationships with third parties (vendors, suppliers, contractors, partners, and other stakeholders)
  • Develop and maintain an incident response program/plan consistent with incident response management processes and standards.
  • Lead the SOC team to create securityrelated rules to provide alerts on any suspicious activities and drive periodic threat simulation activities to evaluate the adequacy of deployed detective controls
  • Establish Incident Response security standards, properly document Incident Response actions, and coordinate Incident Response tasks with other functions within the Security Operations Center and the rest of the organization conducting tabletop exercises to test the readiness of IR function
  • Ensure that adequate technical direction and training is provided to the Cyber Security team members to be able to effectively respond to identified threats and potential threats.
  • Manage documentation of activities during an incident, creation of security incident reports, and for conducting postincident reviews. Drive continuous improvement through active collaboration with threat simulation, vulnerability management, and technical architecture.
  • Constantly enhance approaches to detect, respond to, and eradicate advanced threats; improve overall time to respond and eliminate threats efficiently consume threat intelligence and convert threat intelligence into actionable rules and alerts

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience with Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Engineering and Information Technology
  • Experience with managing Cyber Security Operations Center (SOC) across a large geographically dispersed technology environment
  • 3+ years' handson experience with Incident Response, Forensics, and/or Malware Analysis
  • Have at least one of the relevant certifications:

SANS GIAC:

GCIA, GCFA, GCFE, GREM, GXPN, GMON, or GCIH, ISC2: CCFP, CCSP, CISSP CERT CSIH, EC Council: CHFI or ECSA; CompTIA Security.


  • MITRE Adversary Tactics, Techniques and Common Knowledge (ATT&CK)
  • Advanced capabilities on Security Operations Center activities
  • Proficiency on Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) tools include cloudbased tools.
  • Proficiency on Incident handling and response capabilities.
  • Proficiency on Application Security and technologies thereof.
  • Proficiency on Network Security and technologies thereof.
  • Proficiency on Endpoint Security capabilities.
  • Cloud Security
  • Excellent problems solving skills, ability to coordinate with different local and global teams
  • Ability to respond quickly in a fastpaced and fluid environment and to work under constantly changing conditions and tight deadlines
