Your CommitmentTeaching & Learning
- Commitment to UDST's mandate of excellence in applied and experiential teaching and learning pedagogies.
- Demonstrate competence with course development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Demonstrate fluent ability to design and deliver teaching materials across various courses using studentcentred strategies with appropriate learning supports.
- Commitment to creating and evaluating authentic assessment tools that validly and reliably measure mastery of course learning outcomes while promoting lifelong learning.
- Demonstrate ability to use a variety of educational technology and learning platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to develop technologyenriched learning environments that enable students to be active participants in their education.
- Digital literacy and demonstrated fluency in learning management systems and an ability to model and facilitate the use of current and emerging digital platforms committed to student learning and feedback.
- Manage the resources of the learning environment and course portfolio documents required for program review and accreditation processes.
- Contribution to the advancement of knowledge through applied research, publications, knowledge transfer or professional practice, which would be expected to be international in scope.
- Establish relevant professional memberships or affiliations with industry and academic bodies to grow UDST's research network.
- Generate research projects with university, national, and international impact and profile that align with UDST's applied research mission and Qatar's 2030 National Vision.
- Professional recognition and standing amongst peers.
- Commitment to the teaching profession's effectiveness, vitality, and selfrenewal through selfdriven continuous academic professional development and lifelong learning.
- Participating in curriculum development projects to enhance crosscollege and interdisciplinary collaboration initiatives
- Positive and sustained contributions to the universities' activities and initiatives, including assignments to committee work related to curriculum, assessment, student success, and community outreach.
- Demonstrated aptitude for academic and information literacy skills.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience Requirements
- A PhD degree in History, Social Studies, Political Science, Public Policy, Human Development, with a focus on GCC, from a recognized university where English is the medium of instruction.
- Minimum of three (3) years of fulltime teaching experience in higher education institutions.
