IT Consultant

Responsible for the strategic leadership of the IT Departments' development programs.

Provide guidance and counsel to the IT Department and key members of the leadership team, working closely with project managers, engineers, leaders, and the Katara entities in defining objectives for information technology strategy, while building relationships and goodwill

Work with department leadership team to oversee the formation and operations of Katara IT Department. Promote collaborative, empowered working environments across department, removing barriers and realizing possibilities

Engage in professional development of the department to maintain continual growth in professional skills and knowledge.

Mentor the Information Technology Department's Team members and implement professional development plans for all members of the team.

Create education and awareness programs and advise team members/departments at all levels on strategy and best practices.

Education Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in Management Information Science or other related field is required; an advanced PG degree is preferred.

Mandatory Skills

The emphasis of this position is on leadership and judgment, with a sophisticated ability to work with other leaders and to set the best balance between strategies and other priorities at the department level.

Significant experience in computing and information technology methodologies, IT network concepts, Server and Storage technologies and various Application

Professional Certification
Professional certifications in software engineering especially in Microsoft Technologies, Oracle, MS Azure is highly desirable.

Experience
A minimum of 15 years' direct work experience as a head/manager of IT Applications, including all aspects of process development and execution

Experience in developing and administering an information technology strategy program in a complex IT infrastructure is highly desirable

Understanding of project management phases, techniques, and tools.

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Doha: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
