Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Operations Manager to join our team in Doha. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in ship management operations, and must hold an EPIC (or equivalent) certification. This role requires overseeing the daily operations of our fleet, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, optimizing operational efficiency, and managing costings, budgeting, and tender processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage costings, budgeting, and tender processes to ensure financial efficiency and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and company standards.
  • Oversee crew and vessel management, ensuring all activities comply with safety and operational protocols.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for seamless operations and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Monitor vessel performance and maintenance schedules to ensure optimal operational readiness.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Manage budgets, control operational costs, and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the operations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and present operational reports to senior management.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Business Management, or a related field.
  • EPIC (or equivalent) certification is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in ship management operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Knowledge of costings, budgeting, and tender processes.
  • Strong knowledge of maritime regulations and industry standards.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Arabic is highly preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in the maritime industry.
  • Familiarity with international maritime regulations.
