Endodontist Responsibilities:

  • Review patients' medical history and discuss their symptoms and concerns.
  • Utilizing dental instruments and xray equipment to determine the cause of patients' oral pain and discomfort.
  • Formulating suitable treatment plans based on the diagnosed dental condition.
  • Performing nonsurgical root canal treatment to treat damaged or infected tooth pulp.
  • Performing endodontic surgery to clean canals that contain calcium deposits, assist in making accurate diagnoses, and treat damaged root surfaces or surrounding bone.
  • Performing apicoectomies to treat persistent inflammation or infection occurring in the bony area around the end of the tooth.
  • Maintaining teeth that have previously undergone root canal procedures.
  • Replanting teeth that have been knocked out of patients' mouths.
  • Completing a comprehensive diagnosis, treatment, and progress notes on each patient.
  • Ensure all confidential patients record are properly maintained.
  • Maintaining patient diagnostic reports in electronic format.
  • Appropriate usage of patient consent form.
  • Patient counseling communicating the service cost prior to charging.
  • Patients have the right to concise, complete, and easily understood information about their diagnosis and treatment options, sideeffects, complications and any undesirable effects and an interpreter can be provided when needed.
  • Follow international standards such as Lancet / Up to Date and conduct ethical medical practice.
  • Assures quality and safe practices for patients and staff by enforcing policies, procedures, standards, rules, and legal regulations; participating in case reviews, and remaining available for emergency consultations.
  • Maintains records in doctor module of the inbox electronic system by documenting symptoms, medications, and treatment events and writing summaries.
  • Refer patients to the other specialist as per patient requirement.
  • Participate in event/corporate programming, social media marketing and other marketing activities.
  • Updates knowledge by participating in medical educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional events.
  • Enhances department and organization reputation through ownership.
  • Any other task as assigned by management on a time to time basis as per the organization's nee
