An IB PHE teachershould be a versatile and inspirational educator proficient indelivering a comprehensive inclusive conceptual and inquirybasedcurriculum. They should be a dynamic teacher a lifelong learner amotivator and an effective communicator with excellentinterpersonal skills as well as an outstanding ability to preparestudents to acquire 21stcentury skills in a challenging andwellorganized learning environment. This individual should becommitted to delivering highquality teaching and learning makingeffective use of resources and ensuring improved standards oflearning and achievement for allstudents.



Requirements

QualificationsandExperience.

1.1Possess qualified teacher status appropriate to the teaching dutiesto beundertaken.

1.2Strongly desired: have 2 years of teaching experience in the IB PYPat least one IB PYP workshop completed and strong background indesigning or facilitating extracurricularactivities

1.3Holds updatedcertifications

KnowledgeandSkills.

2.1Demonstrate alignment with the ISL Qatar values of belonging gritkindness andintegrity.

2.2Possess excellent communication skills with the ability toeffectively communicate in English within an international schoolsetting.

2.3Exhibit a high level of understanding of current research on howchildren learn and the ability to motivate students to perform attheirbest.

2.4Inspire diverse culture with mixed ability classes throughdifferentiated instruction and a variety of teaching stylescreating challenging and engaging learning opportunities for allstudents.

2.5Provide support for student needs in learning and pastoralmatters.

2.6Be familiar with the principles of Conceptual Learning andAssessment forLearning.

2.7Demonstrate proficiency in teachingPHE.

2.8Maintain a high level of awareness of current developments in theIBPYP

2.9Actively participate in an expanding IB school particularlycontributing to the development of team spirit within the specificsubjectarea.

2.10Exhibit the ability to manage a diverse and demandingworkload.

Responsibilities.

3.1Implement IB policy and strategicplans.

3.2Effectively collaborate with the IB PHE team and curriculum leadersto foster a coherent IB curriculum to specified classes includingselecting and efficiently managing resources in theclassroom.

3.3Actively participate in designing developing implementing andreviewing the IB PHE subjectcurriculum.

3.4Implement teaching learning assessment and reporting approacheseffectively.

3.5Enthusiastically participate in the school s professionaldevelopment and contribute to regular staff training andmeetings.

3.6Prioritize the health and safety of assignedclasses.

3.7Promote and foster team spirit within the school and develop strongconnections with colleagues across various schooldepartments.

3.8Support and contribute to school community service and globalcitizenshipgoals.

3.9Participate in and contribute to the extracurricular activitiesprogram of theschool.
