About the role


Responsible for managing and supporting on projects for Ground Services, in line with the Project Managers strategic direction and allocation.

A passionate, detail orientated and agile project specialist will be involved in all stages of the Project Lifecycle; through in-depth research and analytics, strategy definition, pitching the project to senior management, briefing design, end-to-end implementation and product communications.

Also closely support the Senior Manager FIFA Readiness and other Managers by introducing new technology to enable more efficient and effective project tracking, visibility and accountability within the department.


Key accountabilities include:

  • Enhance department project management capabilities by automating processes, introducing new project management technology, and ensuring welldefined documentation is in place.
  • Support with the development and design of the project management framework by defining the processes, training, implementation and accountability across each of the teams using project management tools such as MS Projects
  • Drive a change in project management methodology, introducing a more agile approach with greater accountability, that is solutionfocused
  • Work closely with the Projects Manager and GS stakeholders to solve business unit project problems, redefining processes, developing support tools, and providing project level guidance.
  • Ensure that in performance of the role, all uses, disclosures and requests of any information (in any form) are done in accordance with data protection principles adopted by the QR Group and are limited to what is reasonably required to accomplish the intended business purposes of the use, disclosure or request.

Qualifications:

About you

  • Relevant College or University qualification
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English language.
  • Airline project management experience in any division of the airline.
  • Experience with Project Management software.
  • Experience with Airport operations or Ground Handling Operations
  • High level of computer literacy
