As a Senior Software Engineer at EPAM, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining REST microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Oracle RDBMS.

With your extensive experience in Java development and a deep understanding of Spring Boot and Oracle, you will play a crucial role in enhancing and maintaining existing services, supporting third-party integrations, and ensuring the successful deployment of services to various environments.

You will also contribute to code reviews, participate in scrum ceremonies, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, and implement REST microservices using Java and Spring Boot
  • Enhance and maintain existing services to meet evolving business requirements
  • Support thirdparty integrations, ensuring seamless communication between systems
  • Deploy services to different environments, ensuring stability and scalability
  • Review and provide constructive feedback on code written by team members to maintain code quality standards
  • Participate actively in scrum ceremonies such as daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues and bugs

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a Java developer, with a strong understanding of core Java concepts and design patterns
  • Proven experience in designing and developing REST microservices using Spring Boot
  • Deep knowledge of Oracle RDBMS, including data modeling, SQL, and performance optimization
  • Proficiency in using tools such as IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, or similar IDEs
  • Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to debug and resolve complex software issues
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git

  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

  • The working schedule is 5 days a week, from Sunday to Thursday (In Qatar, weekend is Friday to Saturday)
