Our prestigious client iscurrently seeking a passionate and skilled Speech Therapist to join their team in Qatar.

As a Speech Therapist, you will play a crucial role in assessing and treating communication disorders and swallowing difficulties in individuals of all ages.

You will work collaboratively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans and provide therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills, language development, articulation, fluency, and swallowing function.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess clients' speech, language, cognitivecommunication, and swallowing abilities.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, client goals, and evidencebased practice.
  • Provide direct speech therapy services to clients, including but not limited to articulation therapy, language intervention, fluency therapy, voice therapy, and swallowing therapy.
  • Implement a variety of therapeutic techniques and strategies to address communication and swallowing difficulties, such as augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems, oralmotor exercises, and cognitivelinguistic tasks.
  • Monitor clients' progress through ongoing assessment and evaluation and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Educate clients, families, and caregivers about speech and language disorders, communication strategies, and home exercises to facilitate progress and carryover of skills.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, educators, and community resources to coordinate care, share information, and ensure comprehensive support for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, progress reports, and discharge summaries.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program.
  • Valid license or registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Qatar (or eligibility for licensure).
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Speech Therapist, preferably in a healthcare or educational setting.
  • Strong clinical skills in assessing and treating individuals with a wide range of communication disorders, including speech sound disorders, language delays, stuttering, voice disorders, and swallowing disorders.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic tools and standardized assessment measures commonly used in speechlanguage pathology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal and counseling skills.
  • Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable.
  • Commitment to professional development, continuing education, and evidencebased practice.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Specialized training or certification in a specific area of speechlanguage pathology (e.g., pediatric speech therapy, fluency disorders, dysphagia management).
  • Experience working with multicultural and multilingual populations, particularly in a multicultural environment like Qatar.
  • Familiarity with assistive technology and augmentative communication devices.
  • Knowledge of Qatar's healthcare system, policies, and regulations related to speech therapy practice.
