JobSummary andPurpose

AssumeTechnical supervision responsibility of the LNG/LPG fleet withinown scope in a reliable safe cost efficient and professional mannerin line with industrywide best standards and practices. Oversee andmonitor overall technical management rendered by third partymanagers. Ensure timely and accurate resolution for all technicalissues.

Accountabilities

KeyAccountabilities:

Supervision:
1. Manage overall technical operations of the fleet undersupervision.
2. Review all activities of TechnicalSuperintendent as well as arrange for his/her training.
3. Review reports received from Technical Superintendent for shiprepairs and maintenance including dry docking documentations priorto and post every drydocking period for directly managed and thirdparty managed ships.
4. Supervise ships managed by STASCOwith respect to technical matters including ship condition reportdry docking planned maintenance report specifications for majorrefit or repairs as well other matters like attendance at shipyardand budget versus operating cost.
5. Supervise theactivities of Technical Superintendents. The person in thisposition shall manage his own fleet on any matter relating toTechnical operations.

OperationalSupport:
6. Provide expert technical advice onrepair and maintenance of vessels and other technical matters asmay be required in order to ensure reliable safe and cost efficientoperations.
7. Resolve all technical issues and proposesolutions and recommendation for the same. Explore any improvementor modification required in vessel while also performing a RA foroperators.
8. Operate under guidance of Technical Manageras well as maintain healthy coordination with Charterers forprojects related to major retrofitting and modification toships.
9. Support projects related to ship modificationsand retrofits.
10. Confirm that expenditures arecontrolled while making sure that set standards are maintainedunplanned issues resolved and vessel performancemaximized.
11. Assist and guide Technical Superintendentin the technical and feasibility analysis pertaining to new orreplaced vessels equipment and systems.
12. Scheduleperiodic ship visits in order to track vessel condition andperformance as well as achievement against industrywide beststandards.
13. Performs duties and responsibilities underthe guidance of Company Incident Commander as stipulated byEmergency Response Plan.
14. Guide TechnicalSuperintendent in development of policies and procedures related toships technical operations.
15. Perform periodic safety& technical audits as well as vetting of vessels as part ofrisk management exercise.

IntegratedManagement System:
16. Assist SHEQ manger indevelopment and execution of Integrated Management System for thecompany. Also provide proactive support for its continuousimprovement.

Liaise with 3rd partymanagers:
17. Guide supply and contractsdivision on entering into strategic contracts with key vendors andparallel agreements with 3rd party managers.
18. Assistin transition of management from 3rd party managers to Nakilat forLNG ships.

Emergency ResponsePlan:
19. Implement the Emergency Response Planunder direction of the Company IncidentCommander.

21. Ensurecompliance to all relevant QHSE policies procedures and controlsacross the section to ensure that Nakilat provides a safe worldclass secure and environmentally responsible service to customersthe public and its own people.

Budgetsand Plans:
22. Contribute to the development ofthe Technical department budget through setting the Technical 1section budget and monitor its expenditure while ensuring theoptimal utilization of all available resources to protect Nakilatinterest.

Systems andProcesses:
23. Participate in developing theTechnical department policies procedures and system and ensuretheir proper implementation to support achieving the different settargets and plans hence Nakilatstrategy.

Others:
24. Act as a proxy for the company at various industry forums aswell as other working groups and committees of charterers operatorsjoint owners etc. formed within industry on technicalmatters.
25. Represent the company at industry relevantmeetings and working groups related to technical matters within theMaritime industry.
26. Monitor the performance andcondition of the vessels through regular visits of theship.
27. Provide technical inputs to the Supply andContracts department on key vendors to develop strategic contractsand parallel agreements with the third party managers.
28. Conduct investigations to solve technical problems.
29. Carry out any other duties as directed by the immediatesupervisor.
