Mathematics Instructor

ResponsibilitiesYour commitmentReporting to the Head of the Department - Mathematics, the part-time instructor is ideally an experienced educator with creative and innovative teaching skills who can effectively plan, develop, and deliver course content in UDST s undergraduate Mathematics curriculum.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for evaluating student progress, collaborating with faculty teaching teams, and managing resources in the learning environment.

• A Master's or PhD degree in Mathematics or Statistics or a related applied field
• At least 3 years of full-time teaching experience in post-secondary, or higher education institutions Preferred Qualifications
• Post-graduate certificate, diploma, or degree in education teaching methods
• Strong proficiency in written and spoken English
• Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (e.g. D2L) and adaptive learning technologies Other Required Skills
• Commitment to creating and evaluating authentic assessment tools that validly and reliably measure mastery of course learning outcomes while promoting lifelong learning
• Demonstrate ability to use a variety of educational technology and learning platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to develop technology-enriched learning environments that enable students to be active participants in their education
• Digital literacy and demonstrated fluency in learning management systems and an ability to model and facilitate the use of current and emerging digital platforms committed to student learning and feedback.
• Manage the resources of the learning environment and course portfolio documents required for program review and accreditation processes.
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Collaborative and collegial spirit and a demonstrated ability to establish rapport with learners, colleagues
