As an IFEC UI / UX DevelopmentManager you will be responsible for management of all visual designelements as well as all development aspects of the GUI designfunction and usability of the entire user interaction andexperience on seatback IFE (monitor and handset) connectivityportal and IFEC applications. Responsible for all operational andfunctional activities related to GUI development and customizationson current and upcoming QRfleet.

  • Evaluate new and emergingmethods and technologies in UI / UX across digital platforms andidentify best practices in class to incorporate into QRs GUI designframework.
  • Develop intuitive userfriendly andvisually appealing GUI for all seatback IFE platforms and IFECmobile applications.
  • Lead all UI / UX projectsfor IFEC GUI that involve GUI design concepts usability testingwireframing as per system architecture and prototyping for allstages of development up toimplementation.
  • Create user flows for seatbackIFE product and PED in line with latest trends in user experienceprinciples across the industry including OTT providers so as torecommend and provide easeofuse navigation and functionality forall age groups.
  • Work closely with internal andexternal resources in planning and executing user research studiesto better understand the customer test product concepts andvalidate UI / UX designs.
  • Manage relevantstakeholder deliverables and responsibilities associated with GUImanagement across QR group with respect to multiple OEM suppliersand their system specific requirements.
  • Assessand optimize the performance of new and existing features byactively participating in user research and assessing performancemetrics including competitor analysis and running designworkshops.
  • Use storyboards process flows andsitemaps to illustrate GUI design concepts and utilize data torecommend best practise approach of userexperience.
  • Design GUI experiences which arebrandreflective and have continuity across all IFEC platforms andapplications in alignment with QR brandstrategy.
  • Work closely with QRs IT andECommerce teams to define API integrations with multiple systemsthat support the projects and drive the ongoing evolution of QRsGUI offering.
  • Develop multiple plans andscenarios for NB testing across all GUI designplatforms.
  • Manage strategy and implementationof the overall UX/UI of QRs GUI design across all IFEC platformsand applications.
  • Coordination with IFE /Connectivity OEMs to manage all GUI related operationalrequirements.
  • Managing relationships with IFE /Connectivity vendors integrating IFE hardware & peripheralsas well as Content Service Providers (CSPs) for contentimplementation.
  • Support Manager / SeniorManager IFEC in Quality checks of software Application TestingProtocols (ATP) and Final Software Acceptance Test (FSAT) beforesoftware releases for GUI changes and customizations. SupportManager / Senior Manager IFEC in managing timely software rolloutson operational fleet.
  • Managing the developmentof the GUI designs as per IFEC strategy plans and business casesfor products and services to enhance customerexperience.
  • Representing the customers point ofview in various crossfunctional working groups and committees (GUIworkshops etc.).
  • Management of our externalsuppliers and QR internal teams to ensure adequate support forfacilitation of GUI design workshops development processes UAT androllout.
  • Research and assist in the selectionand evaluation of latest GUI trends andenhancements.

We are looking for a passionate andexperienced professional to join the Product Development &Design Team

  • Min. Diploma BachelorsDegree or Equivalent
  • 7 years of UX/UIexperience in aviation.
  • Possess deepunderstanding of multiple IFE systems from leading OEMs such asPanasonic and Thales and have prior experience in GUI developmentfor aviation.
  • IFE / connectivity systemsexperience either with an airline or IFE/Cvendor.
  • Knowledge of IFE systems contentstructure and delivery processes.
  • Knowledge /Development of UI Web and applications Linux and Androidbased.
