Job Description
  • Provide roller skating instruction to individuals and groups, catering to different age ranges and skill levels.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans and training programs that align with the goals and abilities of the participants.
  • Teach proper roller skating techniques, including balance, posture, stride, and various maneuvers.
  • Evaluate and assess participants' progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
  • Create a safe and inclusive environment for all participants, ensuring adherence to safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Plan and organize roller skating events, workshops, and demonstrations to enhance the skating experience and promote community engagement.
  • Stay updated on current roller skating trends, techniques, and safety practices to continuously enhance coaching abilities.
  • Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and guardians, addressing any concerns or questions promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain and organize equipment, ensuring its proper functionality and safety.
  • Collaborate with other coaches and staff members to coordinate schedules, share best practices, and contribute to the overall success of the roller-skating program.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a roller-skating coach or instructor is highly preferred.
  • Strong roller-skating skills and knowledge of various skating techniques and manoeuvres.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with participants of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Ability to adapt coaching techniques to accommodate different learning styles and skill levels.
  • Enthusiasm for roller skating and a genuine passion for teaching and motivating others.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain them).
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate coaching sessions and events.
  • Patience, positivity, and the ability to create a supportive and encouraging environment for participants.
  • Organizational skills to plan and execute skating programs and events successfully.
  • Ability to prioritize safety and enforce proper safety procedures during coaching sessions and events.
