Job Title: Senior Engineer - Electrical

Location: Doha

Department: Maintenance

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer specializing in electrical systems to lead our maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with switchgears, LV/MV panels, MCC (Motor Control Centers), UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supplies), generators and ATS (Automatic Transfer Switches), CBS (Circuit Breaker Systems), and elevators. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and compliance of these systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance Planning and Execution:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans for electrical systems, including switchgears, LV/MV panels, MCC, UPS, generators and ATS, CBS, and elevators.
  • Schedule and oversee routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Project Management:
  • Lead electrical maintenance projects from planning through execution, ensuring timely completion within budget.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and stakeholders to facilitate smooth project flow.
  • Prepare project documentation, including work plans, progress reports, and final reports.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair:
  • Diagnose complex electrical system issues and develop effective repair strategies.
  • Supervise and support maintenance teams in troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment.
  • System Optimization:
  • Identify opportunities for improving system performance and energy efficiency.
  • Implement upgrades and modifications to enhance the reliability and efficiency of electrical systems.
  • Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Promote and enforce safety protocols to protect team members and equipment.
  • Training and Development:
  • Mentor and train junior engineers and maintenance personnel.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical technology and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in electrical maintenance engineering, particularly with switchgears, LV/MV panels, MCC, UPS, generators and ATS, CBS, and elevators.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading maintenance projects and managing maintenance teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in electrical diagnostic tools and maintenance management software.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From QAR8,000.00 per month
