Basic Salary: QAR 1500 – QAR 2000

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Junior Cook specializing in Italian cuisine, particularly pasta and pizza. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of Italian cooking techniques and a desire to grow within the culinary field. You will assist in preparing high-quality pasta and pizza dishes, ensuring that each dish meets our high standards of taste and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and Cooking: Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of Italian pasta dishes and pizzas following established recipes and procedures.
  • Ingredient Handling: Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and prepared in advance for cooking.
  • Kitchen Support: Support senior chefs in various kitchen duties, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and baking pizza dough.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation, ensuring each dish is prepared to perfection.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring kitchen inventory and restocking supplies as needed.
  • Customer Service: Occasionally interact with customers to receive feedback and make adjustments to dishes as required.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a team, supporting colleagues to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Culinary school training or equivalent experience is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 year of experience in a kitchen environment, preferably with a focus on Italian cuisine.
  • Skills: Basic knowledge of Italian cooking techniques, particularly pasta and pizza making. Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
  • Attributes: Strong work ethic, attention to detail, good time management, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Certifications: Food handler's certification or willingness to obtain one.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting heavy pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-heat environment.
