Core Functions / Responsibilities:_

  • Assist in the overall management of the warehouse by receiving the goods, updating the warehouse records in the database, and dispatching the goods for operations in Qatar.
  • Receive goods from vendors/transporters and inspect the quantity/quality to confirm they all meet the same specifications and standards ordered.
  • Monitor loading/offloading activities at the warehouse whenever taking place and followup that labour work is covered properly.
  • Verify documents received from the vendors related to goods received and services provided at the warehouse with Procurement and Logistics colleagues before payment is released.
  • Verify that goods transported from the warehouse reach their intended destinations.
  • Responsible for issuing the "Receiving Report Forms/Goods Receive Note" for the new items arriving into the warehouse and for issuing the "Stock Release Authorization Form/Waybill" when releasing items from the warehouse.
  • Conduct physical inventory of items in the warehouse and provide updates on the inventory records upon completing each activity.
  • Keep the entire warehouse facility well maintained, including that goods are properly stacked, stored and updating the stock cards where necessary.
  • Prepare biweekly report to be shared with the Management and concerned Program Managers.
  • In coordination with the Senior Warehouse Assistant, follow up with the warehouse insurance on related matters and verify that the relevant documents are signed and are up to date.
  • In coordination with the Security Unit, monitor that security and safety measures are always maintained within the warehouse premises.
  • Assist in supporting the evenflow of receiving shipments. Communicate issues and concerns to Logistics Unit. Verify that the necessary documents (Purchase Order, Purchase Requisition Form etc.) are received before reception of the goods.
  • Obtain and review that documents are properly authorized approved by the designated Officer before releasing/issuing any of the warehouse items to any individual and/or unit within the mission.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience_

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Management or related from an accredited academic institution, with three years of relevant professional experience, or
  • High School degree with five years of technical progressive experience.

Experience

  • Experience working with International Organizations such as IOM is an advantage.
  • Having a professional course (s) in Warehouse Management is an added value.

Skills

  • Good communication and analytical skills, ability to interpret information, identify and analyze problems.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under time constraints; accurate and detail oriented.

Languages
For all applicant, fluency in English is required (oral and written). Working knowledge of any UN Official language(s) and/or Arabic is an advantage.
