Salad Specialist

• Assist Executive Chef and Assistant Executive Chef to prepare all food Salads & Appetizers menus including Banquet, meals, canteens, snacks.
• Ability to create great dishes and keep current on new trends overall cuisines.
• Meet daily with Culinary Management to communicate daily operational challenges & successes.
• Support/Coach/Lead & Motivate kitchen colleagues and staff
• Ensure proper hygiene as per Kuwait Municipality and Health Authority, always promoting Health and Safety to ensure an "A" rating by the municipality
• Ensure required assured safe catering requirements are met.
• Strive to improve all food preparations, presentations & menu selections
• Ensure all VIP & Royal visits are handled and prioritized properly.
• Communication meetings for food quality, menu content & timeliness of service.
• Ensure that the Culinary Team utilize progressive corrective actions to correct, supervise and coach colleagues that need improved performance.
• Responsible in maintaining proper food storage temperature in accordance with each food temperature requirement.
• Carryout other related duties as instructed by the Superintendent.

• University degree from a recognized University or Accredited certificate diploma in catering, culinary Arts, hospitality.
• Speak/communicate in Arabic and English
• Minimum 7 years' experience as Salad Specialist in a 5-star luxury property
• Experience working in Middle East
• Accreditation from a recognized Culinary School
• Have a strong working knowledge of International Cuisine Salads & Appetizers.
• Demonstrate real passion for menu engineering and planning
• Strong understanding of HACCP
• Proven track record of cost control including food, equipment, wastage to meet the food quality goals and the company's financial goals.
