About this role

  • Provide visible safety leadership through active participation in the Offshore Project Safety Program and conducting all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures, ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment at all times. Manage and steward the contractors in the safe delivery of the work scope;
  • Supervise the transition of the engineering & procurement phase, into the execution phase of Topside & Pipeline Project at the yard(s) and offshore, in accordance with Company requirements and specifications, by interfacing with all major stakeholders (internal/ external) and providing guidance and input into Contractor strategies/procedures to achieve project integration objectives as required;
  • Engage and manage execution activities across all disciplines & packages, including Construction, Installation, Commissioning, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, HSSE and Risk, closingout project related issues and interfaces;
  • Support Project execution where necessary, including engineering & procurement, construction, installation, hookup & commissioning, interface, etc;
  • Report and review progress of closeout on weekly basis for presentation to management and ensure project deliverables and activities associated with all packages are achieved in accordance with the project milestone date;
  • Deputise for Reports to Topsides & STP Package Division Manager (Doha) / or Head of Topside & Pipeline Execution, chairing meetings if required to collect and disseminate information pertaining to engineering actions;
  • Supervise the review and comments for contractor and supplier documentation as required in a timely manner ensuring compliance with company requirements, standards and specifications;
  • Ensure the yard execution procurement & readiness in accordance with the schedule critical path and ROS dates. Maintain coordination and expediting with the main design/ procurement office and the yard teams. Coordinating site readiness and facilitating resolution as directed by the (Yard) head of Execution;
  • Ensure key control, change management and systems completions processes are setup and implemented across all work sites; Doha, Chennai, Yard(s), etc;
  • Support both the Topside & STP Package Division Manager and Head of Topsides Execution (QFAB) with coordination and compilation of weekly & monthly reporting, dashboard, action tracker, and KPI monitoring. Identifying any risk and mitigation proposals, and managing the (site) risk management and reporting. Implement and maintain PMT action tracking and ensure timely resolution.

What you need to bring

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent or greater than 20years Project Execution Experience;
  • 15years' of experience in offshore project execution, with at least 10years demonstrated at senior level experience in major capital projects in the oil and gas industry, prefarble with site experience. Previous experience working in a multicultural environment, with knowledge of offshore EPC contractors, subcontractors and vendors involved in the oil and gas industry is essential;
  • Fabrication Yard & Offshore Transportation, Installation & Hookup project execution experience, particularly related to Jackets, Topsides, Wellhead Platforms, would be preferable;
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills;
  • Strong technical and analytical skills;
  • Strong planning and organisational skills;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
