Guest Service Agent /Associate

A Guest Service Agentprovides reception services for Guests to contribute to an overallexceptional experience from checkin through checkout and completeaudits as required.

What will I bedoing

As Guest Service Agent you willserve on the Front Office Team to provide services for Guests tocontribute to an overall exceptional experience from checkinthrough checkout and complete audits as required. A Guest ServiceAgent truly influences the first impressions of our Guests andtherefore are responsible for performing the following tasks to thehighest standards:

  • Achieve positiveoutcomes from Guest queries in a timely and efficientmanner
  • Ensure an efficient reception experiencefor Guests including check in/out and complete audit procedures asrequired
  • Ensure that the Guest Service Manageris kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from guests and orother departments
  • Demonstrate a high level ofcustomer service at all times
  • Attendappropriate training courses when required and assist with theNight Teams training and developmentefforts
  • Demonstrate a knowledge of hotel roomcategories room rates packages promotions and other general productknowledge necessary to perform dailyduties
  • Maximize room occupancy and useupselling techniques to promote hotel services andfacilities
  • Use the correct procedures regardingthe acceptance of foreign currencies credit cards and cash inaccordance with the hotel credit policy
  • Complywith hotel security fire regulations and all health and safetylegislation
  • Act in accordance with policies andprocedures when working with front of house equipment and propertymanagement systems
  • Follow company brandstandards
  • Assist other departments asnecessary

It would beadvantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the followingcapabilities and distinctions:

  • Previous experience in cash handling
  • FrontOffice/Concierge experience in the hotel leisure and/orentertainment sectors
  • Conflict resolutionexperience
