About the School:

Due to the continued growth of The Royal Grammar School Guildford, Qatar (RGSGQ) we seek to appoint an outstanding Secondary Librarian to join one of the most prestigious British International schools in the Middle East.

The RGS Guildford, Qatar is an all-through British school offering a co-educational British curriculum for children aged 3 to 18.

The School opened in September 2016, and now welcomes over 700 students to its campus which is just 20 minutes from the Pearl and the new Lusail city.

Students follow the English Early Years Foundation Stage, the National Curriculum at Key Stages 1, 2, 3 and at Key Stage 4 a comprehensive range of IGCSE courses.

At Post-16 the school offers a range of AS levels.

The school has a reputation for high quality teaching and learning and has a range of excellent sports facilities which include an astro turf, sports hall and an open-air swimming pool.

Successful applicants must have:

• Ideally have a recognized Librarian qualification
• One to two year's Library experience in a school
• Have experience working with local communities / Qatari students and families (preferred)
• Possess experience working in a school environment.
• Possess recent successful experience in Library Management
• Be open to working in an British Curriculum School (guidance and training provided)
• Have a flexible and enthusiastic approach with a cando ethos
• Be an innovative and reflective practitioner who is keen to learn
• Be fully vaccinated and available to join our school in Qatar, for a August 2023 start
