Responsibilities/Communication/QHSE

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Ensuring Company owned and managed vessels are operated as per contractual requirements in a safe, efficient, and economical manner in full compliance with best operational and industry practices.
  • Liaising with Ship Management, Chartering, and vessel Masters and monitoring that certification in place as per contract.
  • Undertake vessel visits to monitor compliance for equipment and crew to meet contractual requirements and industry requirements at all times
  • Responsible for preparing contract status reports and advising Ship Management on the necessary requirement.
  • Coordinate with Ship Management and ensure we are in compliance with all codes as required.
  • Conduct audit and inspection to assist the Project Managers on matters associated with the improvement of marine/subsea operations and/or other areas that may require attention for the performance of the contract.
  • Provide personnel coaching as appropriate and maintain performance records and reports in line with Client(s) requirements
  • Strong interaction on a regular basis with clients and attending operational meetings as necessary.
  • Active coordination with all stakeholders for vessel planning for operations/ maintenance.
  • Regular vessel visits and interphase between client and Ship Management as needed.
  • Actively promoting marine safety awareness among all Company Personnel/vessels.
  • Assisting in internal and external audits of vessels.
  • Support internal OVID inspections (Ship Management) of vessels in preparation for all charterers.
  • Liaise with clients, Ship Management, and surveyors for contractual issues and finding marine solutions
  • Ensure operations/work processes occur in accordance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and any other standards and requirements to which compliance is required
  • Ensure the health and safety of all employees and the protection of the environment for all sites/work premises under their control.
  • Perform other job‐related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification/Experiences/Skills

Education & Professional Qualification:

COC / STCW L2 and at least 2nd Officer or 2nd Engineer sailing experience. Master preferred, or similar Maritime or formal qualification.

Professional Experience:


5 years minimum onshore experience as a Marine Superindent in the offshore company or Port Captain or Rig Move master or similar.

Client representative, Docking master, commercial or sales Representative experience preferred in the marine and Oil and Gas sector.

Geographic Experience:

Middle East and International essential, Qatar Preferred

Computer Skills:

M.S. Office

Language Skills:

Fluent in English in speaking and writing. Arabic is an advantage.

Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge:

Good technical and operational knowledge of Maritime, Oil, and Gas operations and services
Good knowledge of customer segmentation and needs analysis
Good knowledge of Subsea assets and operations and finding solutions for internal and external clients.
