SUMMARY OF THE ROLE


In order to support Jotun Paints Qatar W.L.L.'s ambitious market growth plans it has been decided to expand our team and look for a Specification Manager.


As Specification Manager, you are responsible to manage Specifications in an assigned segment by initiating, monitoring, and following all major projects/Key customers to identify and penetrate strategic markets and ensure that Jotun is favourably specified and is the preferred paint supplier for all targeted projects.


  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key upstream clients and project owners to influence specification decisionmaking at the project management stage.
  • Establish and maintain close contact with key clients and project owners by regular visits and seminars/presentations to keep them informed of Jotun's new and existing products, systems and solutions
  • Lead and coordinate with local sales team by sharing project/specification information to ensure alignment, followup and product supply at sales level.
  • Monitor activities trends, new opportunities and competitors in the market to ensure and uptodate project opportunity database.
  • Identify and map relevant projects and work to ensure Jotun specifications are approved and securing projects for Jotun's business benefit
  • Build up strong business network within selected professional group of consultants, architects, designers and project specifiers by initiating contacts in order to support Jotun's specifications approvals by project decision makers
  • Monitor construction and paint industry market status and use the collected data to support Jotun's position in market by promoting and implementing Jotun products and concepts in order to be the paint supplier leader in market
  • Support the sales team in achieving sales target by securing approvals for Jotun specifications, updating them on projects' activities and status in order to ensure successful completion of sales process of Jotun to assigned projects

  • You have 35 years of experience in Specification.
  • You are fluent in English and Arabic is a plus.
