Job Description Risk Manager – Iconic Bridge and Tunnel Project- Qatar

Essential Candidate Requirements:
The successful applicant will have 15+ years experience in risk management. They must also have some experience with KPI management. The candidate will have worked within an international consultancy or a major international contracting company. The candidate must have the following attributes:

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering from a Western University.

• At least 15 years post graduate experience.

• Extensive experience managing all aspects of risk across major infrastructure programmes.

• Expert knowledge of relevant forms of contract aspects while working within a wider programme team.

• Worked on multiple construction programmes

• Ability to prepare and deliver high level risk presentations

• Proven experience in setting up and managing teams in the application of innovative risk management techniques in a Programme Management Office (PMO), PMCM and/or major programme environment, implementing risk management in an integrated manner with other programme controls disciplines.

• Ability to manage and engage in executive level forums and discussions

• Experience in KPI management.

• Experience with managing schedule and cost risk

• Ability to manage and engage in executive level forums and discussions

• Ability to coordinate risk reports from project managers and feed risk profile in programme reporting dashboards.

• The candidate must be familiar with relevant risk analysis software including primavera P6, pertmaster and be capable of performing monte carlo analysis.

• Exceptional written and spoken English.

• Have worked for Blue Chip consultancies/have a stable track record with these companies.

Job Skills This is a major, iconic bridge and tunnel project. The successful candidate MUST have 15 years post graduate experience and have worked on a major tunnel and/or bridge scheme.

You will be a team player with the ability to manage others, be an exceptional multi-tasker and have natural time management skills. You must be able to use your own initiative, be degree qualified and be fluent in written and spoken English.
