  • Microscopic identification ofoocytes contained in follicular fluid following the aspirationprocedure.
  • Classifying the oocytes depending onnuclear characteristics (a measure of oocytematuration).
  • Preparation of granulose cells forcoculture, sperm preparation (washing, isolation, buffer treatment,count, motility analysis), oocyte insemination, microscopicidentification of fertilized eggs, cryopreservation of excessembryos, preparation of embryos for transfer to the uterus, thawingof cryopreserved embryos for transfer to theuterus.
  • Performs micromanipulation techniquesto facilitate fertilization and monitors media quality to assureability to support growth of embryos.
  • Performslaboratory assignments correctly and reliably, including routineprocedures and quality control tests, as described in theLaboratory Procedure Manual.
  • Certain amount ofassignments will take place on weekend and after regular workinghours.
  • Contribute to patient management bycommunication laboratory findings and interpretations of thefindings with physicians, nurses and patients, ifappropriate.
  • Maintains and updating laboratorysupplies.
  • Performs data collection andanalysis.
  • Participate in continuing educationactivities.
  • Participate in continuing qualityimprovement programs of the foundation andlaboratory.
