GAS OPERATIONS

Primary purpose of job
Participates, supervises and coordinates the daily maintenance activities, planned and corrective, primarily on equipment

associated with hydrocarbon process plants such as heat exchangers, vessels, turbines, ,main oil pumps, air compressors

etc.

  • Receives incoming work orders, inspects problem area and discusses with Snr. Tech / Supervisor the scope of work
and daily program involved and any special features to be considered. Prepares daily report

  • Carries out, participates and directs maintenance work on critical equipment along with his subordinates ensuring
compliance with safety regulations, international Corporation standards of practice and vendors maintenance manuals.

  • Carries out unsupervised/or supervises the predictive maintenance checks and tests and first line maintenance on
running equipment and machinery such as compressors, Diesel Engines etc. monitors temperatures and pressures,

checks oil levels and to condition of intake filters, suction strainers, oil filters etc.

  • Performs and/or supervises general or scheduled maintenance work on pumps, motors including changing oil,
cleaning strainers and filters, greasing and general overhaul of equipment. Repairs and /or replaces parts found to

be defective.

  • Checks that required tools/equipment are available and arranges transport to and from the work site. Reviews the
spare parts required for planned and corrective works, raises material issue vouchers as required. Checks stocks of

tools, materials and equipment to ensure that all items are in a workable, safe and clean condition

Experience & Skills
At least 9 years' experience in maintenance of turbines, compressors, pumps and static equipment, with emphasis on the
maintenance of heavy plant and equipment in the oil and gas industry.

Good knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of spoken Arabic would be helpful.

Education
Completed Secondary (12 years) education followed by 3 years full time training in Mechanical trade to ONO level or

equivalent.
