Principal Accountabilities

  • Troubleshoot/diagnose/repair JLTV's complete C4I electronicsystems, encompassing Tactical Communication (TACOM), Intelligence,Reconnaissance, Surveillance & Navigation (ISRN) andCounter Radio Frequency Warfare (CREW) Improvised Explosive Device(IED) Defeat Systems.
  • Follow procedures for, plans andschedules C4I preventive maintenance based on manufacturerrecommendations and environmental variance in the ME. Providerecommendations for revision to the C4I Supervisor as indicated byusage historical data or as directed by the manufacturer orcustomer.
  • Follow recon inspection and repair proceduresprovided by the JLTV C4I Supervisor and provide recommendations forrevisions as indicated by usage historical data or directed by themanufacturer or customer.
  • Alert the C4I Supervisor toany changes in coverage of parts required for mid-level repairs toelectronic equipment, radios and other C4I equipment includingmounting brackets.
  • Ensure security, limited access andsafe storage of C4I equipment and any pilferable JLTV items.
  • Performs inventory/serial number checks as required foraccountability of all electronic equipment.
  • Prepares andinspects vehicles and equipment for shipment by air/sea/surfacetransportation.
  • Coordinate with Supply to ensure secureand limited access to POS for C4I equipment.
  • Coordinatewith the C4I Supervisor to receive in-house C4I Technician trainingand refresher/upgrade training, including practical training, asrequired.
  • Monitor Vehicle Mechanics Work near sensitiveelectronic equipment and provide over the shoulder training asrequired to ensure safety and security.
  • Attend upgradetraining as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Works in normal office and maintenance shop or warehouseenvironment and may be required to work outdoors for extendedperiods. Minimum Requirements
  • Must be proficient in theuse of personal computers and Windows Operating System andMicrosoft Office to include as a minimum Power Point, Excel andWord programs.
  • Extensive knowledge of industry-standardsoftware and peripherals, and a strong working knowledge of PCs,network and communications systems.
  • Ability to innovateand exercise sound judgment in defining and resolving complex anddifficult tasks.
  • Must possess a valid home countrydriver's license and ability to obtain host nationdriver's license.
  • May be required to operatematerial handling equipment.
  • High School diploma orequivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years field experience asa C4I Senior Electronics Technician and/or Supervisor.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a US Secret SecurityClearance.
  • May be exposed to extreme noise fromoperating equipment.
  • Will be required to wear properPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to prescribedprocedures and as required for task being performed.
  • Physically capable of performing all required duties; capable oflifting/pushing/pulling minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Ability totravel domestically and internationally. Preferred Qualifications
