Job Summary:


Projects Manager's role is to plan construction projects and oversee their progress along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner.

He is responsible for budgeting, organization, implementation and scheduling of the projects & supervision teams management.

Duties & Responsibilities, (include but not limited to):

  • Oversee and direct Construction projects from commencement to completion.
  • Review the project indepth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
  • Monitor projects with respect to budgeted cost, demand forecasts, to ensure timely execution of projects.
  • Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
  • Cocoordinate weekly meeting with construction project managers for review of progress and site issue.
  • Monitor the work done by Project Managers & Quality team to ensure the Construction Quality System & the compliance.
  • Monitor the work done by Project Managers for Progress schedule.
  • Ensure that Project Managers have met the contractual conditions of performance.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers in regards to Fortnightly Backlog & look ahead plans
  • Review construction schedule & take necessary steps (Catch up plan) to meet the critical activities deadlines.
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
  • Plan ahead along with other project managers to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
  • Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers in regards to Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.
  • Follow escalation mechanism to address any critical issues.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers in regards to ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
  • Monitor construction projects and contractual regulations for occupational health and environmental protection according to "HSE Program Site.
  • Provide the support and cooperation in regards to the Quality department requirements and Audits.
  • Provide the support and cooperation in regards to the Business development & tenders management activities when requested.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or any relevant Engineering degree.
  • UPDA Grade
    A:

PMP Certification
Years of proven working experience in construction management

  • Preferably previous experience of projects in the Middle East
  • Site based construction experience

Required Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
  • Understanding of all facets of the construction process
  • Familiarity with construction management software packages
  • Ability to plan and see the "big picture"
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management
  • Ability to work in a crossfunctional team environment
  • Leadership skills
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Be organized and structured
  • User of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Salary:
QAR5.00 - QAR10.00 per month
