We seek a female staff of at least 18 years and above of age who is responsible, flexible, energetic, able to multi-task, and is service and detail oriented.

The Studio Assistant performs Ceramic Cube Studio maintenance, organization, and studio specific tasks including but not limited to assisting patrons with questions and loading and unloading ware.


This position also requires administrative responsibilities and involves a great deal of public contact, welcoming and assisting patrons and visitors to the Ceramic Cube Studio and ensuring their participation in the Center as safe, rewarding, and enjoyable as possible.

Does related work as required. Specific duties may vary depending upon assignment. Applicant must be responsible and enjoy working directly with the public.

Typical Tasks:

  • General supervision of the Studio
  • Assists with inventory and restocks supplies and resale items
  • Sells items through Point of Sale and performs basic accounting for money received through the cash register
  • Processes accurate deposits within established deadlines
  • Serves as a receptionist, answers telephone and greets the public in person
  • Answers questions regarding clay, tools, techniques, and other studio programs
  • Provides company information and materials to clients or redirects them to the appropriate staff
  • Receives, and when possible addresses and responds to client inquiries, complaints, requests for services;
  • Follows up with supervisor as needed
  • Operates computer—computer work may be extensive
  • Maintains client accounts
  • Scans and updates studio passes
  • Notifies clients of cancelations, changes or updates
  • Enforces Studio policies and procedures
  • Light housekeeping as needed
  • Maintains office files;
  • Operates standard office equipment
  • Notifies supervisor of needed supplies and facility issues
  • Special tasks as assigned
- examples may include but are not limited to: Analyzing and preparing report information

  • Data entry
  • Proactively identifying center needs and initiating tasks
  • Assisting in the orientation and training of new temporary staff and serves as an example to employees
  • Preparing monthly schedule for the Studio
  • Assist studio art instructors with preparation of tools and materials for workshops
  • Assist studio art instructors with studio cleanup and maintenance
  • Supervise studio times and assist clients working on projects
  • Assist in maintaining clean, orderly, safe studio work environment
  • Assist with office physical tasks, like packing and shipping during higher volumes of pottery sales
  • Assist with office computer tasks, like photographing pottery and fulfilling orders
  • Assist with technical aspects of clay recycling, loading kilns and firing pottery

Salary:
QAR2, QAR4,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Al-Khīsah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

  • Diploma (preferred)

Experience:

  • Customer care and admin: 2 years (preferred)

Language:

  • English and at least 1 other language (preferred)

License/Certification:

  • QID, NOC from previous employer (preferred)
