Surveyor Responsibilities:

  • Survey Planning: Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to plan site survey activities, including defining survey objectives, selecting appropriate survey methods, and establishing survey control points.
  • Total Station Operation: Utilize Total Station equipment to measure distances, angles, and elevations on the project site, ensuring the collection of accurate survey data.
  • GPS Integration: Integrate GPS technology with Total Station measurements to establish geospatial references and ensure precise location data.
  • Data Collection: Conduct field surveys to gather topographic features, existing infrastructure details, boundary information, and other relevant data required for project planning and design.
  • Site Layouts: Assist in setting out reference points, grid lines, and benchmarks for construction activities, ensuring alignment with engineering designs.

Built Surveys:
Perform as-built surveys to capture accurate measurements and details of constructed facilities and infrastructure.

  • Data Processing: Process and analyze survey data using surveying software and tools to produce comprehensive and accurate survey reports.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks and verification of survey data to ensure its accuracy and reliability.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed and organized survey records, field notes, and data for reference and project documentation.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines during site survey activities to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Survey Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that Total Station and surveying equipment are properly calibrated, maintained, and in good working condition.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other surveyors, engineering teams, construction crews, and project stakeholders to communicate survey findings and support project execution.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest advancements in surveying technologies, GIS, and industry best practices to enhance surveying efficiency and accuracy.

Surveyor Required Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree, Diploma in Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
  • With 5+ Years of experience in GCC Projects.
  • Proven experience as a Site Surveyor in the oil and gas industry, with expertise in using Total Station equipment.
  • Proficiency in operating Total Station instruments, survey data collectors, and GPS equipment.
  • Strong understanding of surveying principles, geodetic datum, and coordinate systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction surveying techniques, including site layout and elevation determination.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to ensure the accuracy of survey data.
  • Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with survey teams and project stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with surveying software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, or Leica Geo Office is advantageous.
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to industry regulations
