we are seeking a highly motivated anddetail-oriented Credit Controller to join our finance team

JobSummary:
We are looking for a Credit Controller who will beresponsible for managing the credit control function of thecompany.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills,attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectivelywith customers and internal stakeholders.

The Credit Controllerwill play a key role in minimizing credit risk, optimizing cashflow, and ensuring timely payment from customers.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage thecompany's accounts receivable portfolio, includingconducting credit checks on new customers and assessingcreditworthiness.
  • Establish and maintain credit limitsfor customers based on risk assessment and company policies.
  • Proactively contact customers to ensure timely paymentof invoices and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or disputes related toinvoices, payments, and credit terms.
  • Collaborate withsales, customer service, and finance teams to address customerqueries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Reviewand update credit control policies and procedures to improveefficiency and effectiveness.
  • Prepare and analyze agingreports, cash flow forecasts, and other financial reports to assesscredit risk exposure and identify areas for improvement.
  • Negotiate payment plans and settlement agreements with customers asneeded, in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Monitor and report on key credit metrics, including DSO(Days Sales Outstanding), bad debt provision, and collectionefficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of customerinteractions, payment agreements, and collection activities usingthe company's ERP system or other tools

Qualifications andExperience:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance,accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as aCredit Controller or similar role, preferably in [industry].
  • Strong understanding of credit risk managementprinciples and best practices.
  • Excellent communicationand negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport withcustomers and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in MicrosoftExcel and ERP systems; experience with credit management softwareis a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical andproblem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independentlyand prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirementsrelated to credit management.
