ABOUT THE PROPERTY

The St. Regis Doha is located on the West Bay, near the Diplomatic District in Qatar's sophisticated capital city. The hotel borders the Arabian Gulf, where sand dunes, ancient architecture and the scenic Pearl Island paint a magnificent landscape. The facilities comprise a cornucopia of destination restaurants and event spaces, including a 1,850-square meter Grand Ballroom. The St. Regis Doha also features a world-class Guerlain Spa and offers direct access to the beach. Each of the 335 luxury rooms and suites includes sea views and bespoke Arabian-influenced décor, combined with state-of-the-art technology.

St. Regis Marsa Arabia Island offers an exclusive island getaway. The island houses 193 exquisitely furnished hotel suites, all with large balconies overlooking the Arabian Gulf. As you cross the bridge, you will find an abundance of works of art that highlight the richness of the Qatari Culture combined with a touch of Andalucía. A Dining Destination, in itself, the Island houses 10 World Renowned Food & Beverage outlets providing culinary diversity for every palate. ABOUT THE POSITION

JOB SUMMARY


Functions as the primary strategic business leader of a full-service property and responsible for the leadership and management of a designated cluster of properties.

As General Manager of the properties, responsible for all aspects of the operation, including guest and employee satisfaction, human resources, financial performance, sales and revenue generation and delivering a return on investment.

Leads the leadership teams in the development and implementation of property-wide strategies. Ensures implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives with the objective of meeting or exceeding guest expectations. In addition, the General Manager builds relationships with key customers through personal involvement in the sales process. The position ensures sales engines are leveraged and initiates independent and proactive sales activities, when appropriate, to generate demand. Position serves as the principal interface with property ownership and establishes relationship as a business partnership. Builds owner loyalty through proactive communication, setting and managing expectations and delivering solid business results.

Responsible for the overall performance of a designated cluster of managed properties and oversees all activities associated with the pre-opening processes for new build units.

In addition, the position is responsible for sales and revenue generation for all units within the cluster.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

  • 2year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 8 years' experience in the management operations, sales and marketing, or related professional area.
OR

  • 4year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 6 years' experience in the management operations, sales and marketing, or related professional area.

  • Develops deployment strategies to market property in order to continue to grow market share.
  • Supports the sales strategy by encouraging leadership team to develop effective revenue management strategies.
  • Ensures focus is on proactive selling as well as reactive selling.
