Identify, develop, coordinate, expedite and steward closure of EPC Contract Interfaces with other External parties.

  • Provides overall guidance and leadership with respect to the Commercial and Physical interfaces applicable to Company EPC Contract in close coordination with the Project & Interface Manager.
  • Interfaces with different contracting parties, owners, customers, government bodies and existing facilities.
  • Propose and recommend appropriate solution as necessary to maintain compliance with local authority requirements.
  • Ensure critical interfaces are identified and acknowledged by all stake holders.
  • Lead all Company Onshore Project External Interfaces with other External stakeholders, to secure alignment and expedite approvals as required to meet Project objectives.
  • Work within Company groups (Operations, Terminals and Refining groups, Engineering and Projects, Commercial, Execution Planning and Services (EP&S), Subsurface, etc.) to facilitate and coordinate Company EPC Contract Interface related activities.
  • Represent the interests of the EPC Contract by attending to all important meetings, including ensuring comprehensive and fully documented actions list and minutes of meeting are prepared and signed by the Parties involved.
  • Serve as the single point of contact regarding interface management plans, processes, agreements, and progress updates.

  • Manage all External Interfaces. Ensure comprehensive, multifunctional review of all requests and meets Project objectives, requirements, budget, and schedule.
  • Assess information on overall Interface Agreements (IA) process performance and implement improvements ensuring that the process is fit for purpose, accepted by the EPC Contractor, is appropriate, well established and maintained. Manage guidelines and procedures necessary to support and control the Interface Agreement (IA) process within Company Onshore Project organization.
  • Provides clear, accurate, timely, and consistent twoway communication with other organizations (internal & external) with respect to the exchange and alignment of interfaces related information and documentation.
  • Responsible for ensuring timely evaluation, coordination, expediting and approval of Interface Queries (IQ) and Agreements (IA).
  • Implements and maintains the EPC Contract interfaces related works and activities, review, coordinate comments to support approval of the EPC Interface Management Plan.
  • Timely Identify and report area of concerns or unresolved interfaces issues to the Project & Interface Manager.
  • Responsible for generating weekly and monthly Interface reports. Provides input to weekly management reports.
  • Resolves issues that may arise between the Company EPC Contractor and other Company Project Teams and Offshore Contractor, to meet EPC Contract objectives, avoid delays, change orders and claims.

  • Regular contact with EPC Contractor/subcontractors and project stakeholders at site.
  • Interfaces with various Project teams and departments on resolving related issues that requires effective communication, initiative, flexibility, and an ability to induce collaboration.
  • Manage multiple technical interface agreements with EPC Contractors and External counter parts. Ensure that the overall integrity of the facilities is maintained, and the interfacing parties fully understand their accountabilities and responsibilities.
  • Works closely with Interface Division Manager and Area Division Manager(s), Engineering and Construction teams to define solutions and resolutions between EPCs Contractors, which are inherently complex, time critical, and frequently involve conflicting priorities between various parties.
  • Works on large capital expenditure projects in a highly dynamic team environment that has tightdeadlines, high pressure, and visibility, requiring accuracy, initiative, and the ability to multitask as essential skills.

What you need to bring

  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in the oil and gas industry preferably in LNG industry with a minimum of 5 years in a management position.
  • Proven experience as Discipline Engineer, Project Engineer, Interface Engineer, and Interface Head.
  • Experienced in developing and leading effective project interface organizations.
  • Previous work experience with Oil & Gas Company Operations is an advantage.
  • Excellent oral and written English skills. Able to write technical reports in English.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Valid Qatari Driving License (or eligible to apply)
