Tasks:
- Establishmentand maintenance of physical and logical connectivity betweeninfrastructure components, services and devices within the DataCenter and all areas of Office buildings as well as to/fromexternal serving and depending services.
- Installation/decommissioning ofinfrastructure hardware elements and/or providing support to saidinstallation/decommissioning.
- Physicaland capacity planning including space, power (UPS), cooling,physical cabling, ensuring compliance with DC design policies andconventions. Use of e.g. CAFM andDCPlanner.
- Asset management andidentifying, cataloguing, labelling and tracking of infrastructureelements and devices inclusive of all networking equipment,cabling, power sources, coolingetc.
- Escorting visitors in andaround the DCs.
- Regular or on-demandchecking of DC health by means of tooling, test devices (e.g. Fluketesters) and visual checks.
- Thoroughknowledge of monitors, switches, routers and other technicalequipment
- Troubleshooting skills tosolve network issuespromptly
- Customer serviceskills
- Problem-solving skills toprovide solutions for any issues with operatingsystems
- Analysis, critical thinkingand multitasking
- Maintain thetechnical and security policy systems in the data center
- Detect and rectify the networkfaults to avoid the downtime
- Carryout the installations and documentation for passive networks(copper and glass)
- Analyse andprovide problem resolution to ensure timely delivery of hostingrequirement
- Ensure data centerpolicies and procedures follow customer and service providerstandards
- Utilize custom monitoringsoftware and an internal ticketing system to provide customersupport
- Provide inventory trackingand updating to maintain a valid count of materials andsupplies
- Monitor and respond toenvironmental, security, and equipment monitoring systems alongwith hardware and networkrepair
Requirements
MustHave:
- 3+Years experience in maintaining Technical and security systems in aDatacenter
- 3+Years experience in DC Health testing, preferably with (FlukeTesters)
- 3+Years experience with network management (Fault finding andrepair)
- 3+Years experience in Monitors, Switches, routersetc..
- 3+Years with Ticketing software and Internal CustomerSupport
- 3+Years with Physical and Capacity planning within a datacenter
- EUNational
- English C1Level
- German B2Level
