LNG TRADING

Primary purpose of job
Execute all gas trades, representing the front face for QatarEnergy Trading to global

counterparties. Provide valuations of potential structured transactions, and also run a

proprietary book, while complying with the risk management policies/guidelines.

Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum 15 years work experience with related discipline in energy sector,
including experience in gas trading and operations.

  • Display exceptional selfmotivation and the ability to operate independently,
consistently delivering results within demanding timeframes.

  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all
tasks.

  • Exhibit strong commercial acumen, analytical prowess, and the capacity to make
well-informed decisions even under high-pressure circumstances.

  • Possess an understanding of Energy Markets, and the intricacies of the interface
between Upstream, Midstream, and downstream sectors.

  • Exhibit adaptability and agility in response to shifting internal and external
requirements.

  • Display advanced proficiency in IT systems, encompassing gas operations
platforms and MS Office Tools, notably Excel.

  • Prior experience and a comprehensive background in gas trading and operations
are essential prerequisites for this role.

Education
Bachelor degree in economics, Law, Business Administration or equivalent from an internationally recognized university.

Postgraduate Qualification (MSc. or MBA) preferred.
