What You'll DoAs Project Engineer, you will provide engineering support on a wide range of turnkey telecoms projects.
- Systems design, preparation of engineering documents, testing and commissioning of telecoms systems.
- Collaboration with the Project Management group to ensure effective project delivery to customers.
- Collaboration with the Sales Group to provide technical consultation and estimates for bids and proposals.
- Compliance with Company policies, standards, and regulations.
- Operation within a virtual project team, leading engineering efforts, liaising with other team members.
- Design, production of project documents & drawings, configuration, pre-FAT testing, and client witnessed FATs.
- Liaising with suppliers & third parties, ensuring smooth project delivery within budget.
- Travel for client and project meetings, site installations, commissioning, and other project-related activities.
- Supporting the RigNet Quality program within SI operations.
Requirements for the role:
- HND level (or equivalent) in a relevant technical subject or extensive relevant experience
- Experience in an Operational Engineering environment in the Telecommunication Industry
- Professional Accreditation such as Chartered Engineer or MIET
- Significant experience in Projects work
- Effective communication and teamworking skills
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask within a team
- Flexibility to meet customer requirements
Additional factors for success:
- Experience with MS Office applications
- Will to travel locally and internationally
- Valid work permit or local citizenship where the position is based
