About the Role


Provide support to the Fuel Procurement department and IOC Team by coordinating & monitoring fuel requirements for Qatar Airways, Qatar Executive and Qatar Amiri operations.

Ensure these businesses unite achieve the best commercial rates for fuel, through efficiently selecting the fuel supplier at non-Contracted locations.


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing fuel requests for Qatar Amiri, Qatar Executive, QR Cargo and QR Commercial and maintaining operational effectiveness.
  • Following disruption and/or incidents that occur on the network due to fueling, supporting information gathering to be used for investigation and Management Reports.
  • Prepare Weekly/ Monthly management reporting.
  • Ensure Fuel OCC file records are updated on daytoday basis.
  • Ensure all flight delays allocated to fueling are correct and recorded and proactively follow up with the supplier to support evidence gathering.
  • Be the fuel supplier's "Advisor" within the company and constantly monitor the status of the operation and alert suppliers & IOC of potential issues.
  • Manage the issue and analysis of RFQ (Request for Quote) when operating to Non
  • Contracted locations and negotiate fuel quotes with suppliers to in accordance with Corporate Policies to ensure the lowest possible costs for the company.
  • Ensure timely submissions of fuel requests to contracted suppliers and follow up.
  • Responsible for managing fuel price updates in QNAFT and followup where required
  • Maintains and promotes sound relationship with suppliers and business community.
  • Assist line manager in analyzing meteorological information to determine potential savings and to suggest the most desirable and economic routes of flights to IOC in case of technical stops.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualifications:

About you
Essential

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of jobrelated experience within the aviation industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office (Excel, MS word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Strong Problem Solving, negotiation and decisionmaking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Experience and natural ability to establish and maintain effective relationships internally and externally.
  • Selfconfident and Selfmotivated.
Preferred

  • Knowledge of sourcing and fuel procurement techniques as well as dexterity in "reading" the market.
  • Knowledge of written and spoken Arabic is an added advantage.
  • Having various aircraft type/ fuel capacity and Geography knowledge.
  • Good knowledge of supplier or thirdparty management software (QNAFT/ ATOL/ BO System etc).
