JobPurpose

  • Manage the construction andexecution activities performed by the EPCs Contractor andSub-Contractors and ensure execution of the project is completedwithin approved project parameters including safety, quality, cost,and schedule in order to meet Projectobjective.

KeyAccountabilities

Duties include but not limitedto

  • Uphold safety, health,environmental and worker welfare performance of all site executionactivities. Implements and sustains a strong safety culture to theEPCs Construction Team, EPCs Contractor, its Sub-contractors, andVendors by monitoring site activities and by inspiring safetycommitment via demonstration of safety leadership by example.Ensures compliance to all relevant safety, health and environmentalprocedures and policies to promote a healthy and safe workenvironment.
  • Uphold Project Qualityrequirements through visible support to the Project'sQuality Management System and ensures EPCs Contractor andsub-contractors execute work to the highest level of qualitypossible to facilitate a trouble-free start-up and long-termfacility availability and reliability.
  • Review,verify and approve the EPCs Contractor's lifting/rigging,construction sequence, construction engineering, work plans,pre-task planning and method statements to ensure EPCs constructionactivities are completed in accordance with the project procedures,regulations, specifications, andstandards.
  • Direct the EPCs Contractor inplanning, scheduling, and implementing the construction executionplan, method statements, and other relevant procedures to ensurethe work plan and scopes are aligned with project strategies anddeliver the safe execution of the project. Identify projectdeviations and schedule slippages and implement the requiredsolutions.
  • Facilitate constructability reviews,brownfield activities preparation and construction review meetingsand complete all reports, ensuring the areas of concerns andspecific technical issues are identified and tackled on time, withrelevant mitigations in line with project specifications andrequirements.
  • Direct the EPCs Contractortowards construction completion, provide assistance and directionin the Mechanical Completion, in coordination with the projectconstruction support departments as required, and provide supportto Commissioning and Start-up activities, working with all involvedparties to facilitate theseactivities.
  • Complete construction reporting asrequired by Project Heavy Lift Manager ensuring the content of EPCContractor's reports and records are reviewed and approvedto ensure compliance with project contractualrequirements.
  • Provide inputs in EPCsconstruction stages to identify, manage and resolve any contractualissues related to construction and/or site interface. Supportengineering with construction clarifications for issuance ofrelevant Change Orders; and lead the team in the analysis andimplementation of approved Change Orders to ensure it satisfiesCompany needs as well as compliance to the company ProjectManagement of Change (PMOC) processes.
  • Monitorproject construction costs by reviewing and approving theperformance and progress of EPCs Contractor and its subcontractorsensuring adequate control and changes in work procedures areestablished and the correction of non-conformance report itemssupport QA/QC compliance.
  • Provide technicaladvice to EPCs project team in respect to the delivery ofconstruction and mechanical completion activities. Participate andsupport cost-schedule-quality-functionality optimizationinitiatives and constructability/risk assessment inputs for EPCsProject and for project Construction supportdepartments.
