CVDEquipment Corporation, Headquartered in Central Islip, NY, has anopportunity for a Field Service Engineer South East Regionwho will provide technical and on-site expertise forcustom Semiconductor, Nanotechnology and Industrial ProcessEquipment installation, repair, and troubleshooting. Ensureend-users have the resources, knowledge, and training toeffectively utilize and operate theequipment.

EssentialFunctions:

• Applyintermediate knowledge of relevant technologies and processes,including interpreting and utilizing laboratory equipment to solvesystem and/or mechanicalproblems.
  
• Providegeneral technical support maintaining Chemical Vapor Deposition(CVD) and plasma etching systems, various semiconductor systems andother mechanical, electricalequipment.
  
• Adhereto all written, operational, and safety procedures in the course ofplanning and completing jobassignments.
  
• Usingwork control processes and procedures, assemble and/or disassemblemoderately complex mechanical components and systems asrequired.
  
• Effectivelyplan installation process by ensuring equipment and facilities areprepped and ready for well-organized and efficient field servicework.
  
• Prepareand submit accurate and timely Service Reports confirming productspecifications are met and documenting any qualitydefects.
  
• Proactivelycommunicate between customers and the engineering team at CVDEquipment Corporation to ensure they are informed of the full scopeof installation as well as updates of potentialissues.
  
• Providehelp desk and remote support to respond to customer queries andproblems in a timelymanner.
  
• Ensurefollow-up and communication to factory (spare order parts, quotes,expenses, daily reports, expenses,etc.)
  
• Trainend-users on the full operation of systems andequipment.
  

RequirementsEducation& Experience:

• Associates/Vocational/EngineeringDegree with a concentration in Electrical technology or equivalentmilitary experience with strong mechanical aptitude; Bachelor sDegree aplus
  
• 3+years of prior experience in a Field Service role; preferably inthe Semiconductor and/or Nanotechnologyindustry.
  

RequiredSkills &Abilities:

• Strongmechanical aptitude; ability to assemble and disassemble complexassemblies.
  
• Knowledgeof PLC hardware, ladder logic programming and PLC softwareenvironments
  
• Analog/digitalcircuit and systemstroubleshooting
  
• Knowledgeof Chemical Deposition processes (LPCVD, MOCVD, PECVD) aplus.
  
• Abilityand willingness to travel domestically and internationally50%
  
• Musthave a valid driver s license and ability/eligibility to get apassport.
  
• Demonstratedproficiency with Microsoft Office; AutoCAD, or Inventor aplus
  
• Effectivelycollaborate and partner with sales, engineering, project managers,and manufacturing departments to ensure excellent customersupport.
  
• Stronganalytical, diagnostic, and problem-solvingskills.
  
• Demonstratedproficiency in proactively investigating and correcting technicalproblems

• Thisposition is based in the vicinity of Charlotte, NC and supports theSouth East region and surrounding areas.
  
• Abilityand willingness to travel to CVD headquarters in Central Islip, NYfor training (6-8wks) and projectreviews.
