The opportunity:


We are looking to appoint an experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic Secondary PE Teacher, to start in August 2023 and provide maternity cover until the end of term one in December 2023.


Currently, our PE Department has six full-time teachers (will grow to 7) and offers a wide range of sports, including netball, basketball, football, volleyball, athletics, rugby, cross-country, water polo, fitness and softball as well as swimming.

The department regularly participates in over 400 fixtures locally for QUESS and 3 international tournaments a year, supporting an extensive range of inter-house sports activities which run throughout the year.

Furthermore, the department offers a wealth of sporting opportunities through which students compete against other schools within the Middle East region and further afield.


All our classrooms are equipped with interactive smartboards and displays, and all students are furnished with an iPad upon entry and teachers and pupils use Google Classroom.


About you:


To be successful, you will have the ability to teach GCSE and A level PE, and a wide range of sporting activities, in world-class facilities, along with a growth mind-set and interest in developing High Performance Learning Skills.

As a PE teacher, you will be responsible for assisting in team events within Qatar and elsewhere, monitoring and evaluating student achievement, as well as coaching school teams and coordinating fixtures for those teams.

We are a British international school, and all of our lessons are taught in English. A high standard of written and spoken English is, therefore, essential.
