  • Performs a broad range ofconservation treatments on the photography collection, ensuringtheir physical safety and stability, while retaining historical andartistic context.
  • Provides detailed records ofthe works carried out, examines, analyses, researches, notates,photographs and explains all findings inreports
  • Provides knowledgeable expertise on thecaring, handling, and addressing condition issues of photographycollection for acquisition, loan, exhibit, transport and storage.Performs condition assessments of individual collections, surveysgroups of collections and requests forloan
  • Ensures good knowledge of monitoring andcontrolling the environment in which collections are stored ordisplayed to prevent deterioration, and applies preventiveconservation principles and care of collections with interest onphotographic items
  • Provide guidance andconsultation to the exhibition team, to recommend specific displayparameters for materials and mountsrequirements.
  • Ensures adherence to policies andprocedures, engages in review, interpretation, and development ofconservation-related policies, methods, procedures, and services;works with others to update plans and implement recommendations forpreservation strategies.
  • Assists with day today running of the Conservationlaboratory
  • Works collaboratively and liaiseswith the staff across Lusail Museum to meet overallgoal.
  • Communicates the conservation activitieswith his/ her colleagues and interest groups and publishes findingsexploring processes and artistmethods.
