Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

Instruction:

  • Teach English language courses to Arabicspeaking students, ranging from beginner to advanced levels.
  • Develop and deliver lesson plans that utilize a variety of teaching methods and strategies to cater to the diverse learning styles of students.
  • Conduct classes in a bilingual setting, ensuring clarity and comprehension for students transitioning from Arabic to English.

Curriculum Development:

  • Design, implement, and evaluate curriculum and instructional materials that support language acquisition and literacy in English.
  • Integrate cultural and linguistic understanding into the curriculum to enhance students' learning experience.

Assessment and Evaluation:

  • Assess students' progress through a variety of assessment methods, including tests, quizzes, oral presentations, and written assignments.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance and areas for improvement.

Classroom Management:

  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Implement effective classroom management techniques to foster a respectful and orderly learning atmosphere.

Professional Development:

  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and bilingual teaching methodologies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, strategies, and insights for effective bilingual education.

Communication:

  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues in both Arabic and English.
  • Serve as a liaison between the school and the Arabicspeaking community, providing support and resources as needed.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field. A Master's degree or teaching certification is preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a bilingual or multicultural environment.
  • Proven experience in teaching English to speakers of other languages, particularly Arabic speakers.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in both Arabic and English (spoken and written).
  • Strong instructional and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Certifications:

  • TESOL, TEFL, or CELTA certification is highly desirable.

School Setting:

  • The position involves working in a classroom setting, interacting with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Occasional afterhours work may be required for parentteacher meetings, school events, or professional development sessions.
