Wood has an opportunity for aPrincipal HSE Advisor to join our team in Qataron a long term basis. This is a key role within the Wood Dohaoffice delivering across study FEED EPC and PMC scopes of work. Inthis role you will be responsible for the execution of project workin accordance with the project execution plan including Wood and/orProject Procedures on Safety and Quality Control within the manhourcost and the project schedule targets. Reflecting the market focusfor the office in both brownfield and green field opportunitiesmultiskilled personnel are sought in particular those withexperience in Onshore Oil and Gas with a level of offshore Oil andGas projectknowledge


Providingstrategic advice and guidance to their Managers on all HSE relatedmatters
Rollingout of Group HSE annual objectives andinitiatives and development of company HSE objectives
Providing support to Business Unit/Contract/Project Managers andHSE Advisors in the development and rollout of Group HSE objectivesand other initiatives
Providing support to seniorManagers in incident and accident investigations through the use ofan appropriate Investigation process (e.g. Helix or Taproot)
Monitoring bestpractice and developing leadingedge HSEinitiatives as appropriate to the business they are supporting
Completion of Management Support Visits to installationsand worksites
Providing support to senior Managers andHSE Advisors in the timely reporting of both leading and laggingHSE Indicators
Undertaking lagging indicator reviews ofincident/accident trends and providing timely advice to seniorManagers and Corporate Management on actions and initiatives
Providing mentorship and training for graduate/newrecruits into the HSE team as appropriate
ProvidingcrossBusiness Unit support as required
Carryingout HSEInductions for Newstarts
Developing HSE presentationalmaterial to support inductions and Groupinitiatives


Qualifications:

University Degree in Technical HSE orrelated industry
Degree in relevant technical industryor HSEQ specific discipline
NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma(essential)
NVQ Level 4 IOSH (desirable)
Trained and competent Internal Auditor (essential)
Trained and competent External Auditor (desirable)
RCAAccident/incident Investigator e.g. Helix/Taproot (essential)

Knowledge skills and experience:

15 years in a technical role orassociation with HSE role in another industry.
Lead HSEadvisor experience with project/contract experience in O&Gor other industry
Excellent working knowledge withrelevant legislation and regulations
Good planning andorganizational skills
Effective/competent MS OfficeSuite User
High level of communication skills in bothwritten and spoken format
