Responsibilities The ProjectEngineering Manager leads by example, consistently displaying andenforcing the Company's values and behaviours, andcommitment to the highest standards of safe and ethical behaviour,to ensure safe and reliable operations and client satisfaction.
Driving technical assurance.

  • Continuous promotion ofcorporate / client specific procedures.
  • Assist inincident investigations as required.
  • Monitors compliancewith standards and processes to assure delivery.
  • Rollout and Implementation of learning opportunities from across thebusiness.
  • Driving continual focus on process safetythrough the engineering team
  • Driving elimination oftechnical incidents through robust controls, incident reviews andembedding lessons learned
  • Identifies and mitigates areasof risk and improvement opportunities
  • Identifies andpursues improvement opportunities
  • Managing and leading,supporting and supervising the multidiscipline engineering teamPlan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the activities andoperations of a multidiscipline engineering team
  • Assistin the management of recruitment, selection, transfers, performancemanagement, succession planning and promotion of resources to meetengineering team requirements
  • Ensuring appropriatelyresourced and competent personnel on Project/Contract
  • Oversight and control of Engineering Histogram to support workforceplanning
  • Assist in setting & maintainingstandards for the development and retention of motivated andcompetent people Management of key stakeholders in the executionand delivery of contracted activities.
  • Responsible forthe engineering content of project execution plans for assignedcontracts/projects
  • Responsible for the direction andmanagement of the engineering and associated project activities ofthe business grouping/Project
  • Manage and directresources efficiently and effectively.
  • Consult andnegotiate with clients to prepare specifications, explain proposalsand present engineering reports and findings
  • Assign,co-ordinate and review the technical work of the department orproject teams
  • Focuses on managerial concerns of theproject such as cost, completion date, and resource allocation.
Provides expert resolution of issues and monitors integration ofwork.

  • Reviews technical concepts of major projects.
  • Personally participates in solving difficult technicalproblems.
  • Resolves conflicts that are complex andmanages divergent audience
  • Responsible for facilitatingagreement between conflicting parties
  • Resolves issueswhich are non-recurring and occasionally novel
  • Carriesresponsibility for resolution of major problems for the engineeringsegment
  • Assist in identifying and requesting functionalsupport to projects / contracts as required
  • Accountablefor the efficient planning and management of engineering resouces,identifying ad pursuing opportunities for margin improvement,including HVEC utilisation. Undertaking the role of process owner
  • Develop and implement policies, standards and proceduresfor the engineering and technical work performed in the department
  • Directs the application of existing principles and thedevelopment of new polices and strategies aligned with OU, BU andCorporate objectives
  • Conduit for regulatory framework,legislation changes, initiatives and industry technologydevelopments. Qualifications
  • University degree orMasters in an engineering discipline
  • Chartered Engineer/ Registered Professional Engineer is mandatory Experience, Skillsand Knowledge
  • Minimum 15 years experience in disciplineengineering
  • Minimum 5 years experience with Wood orlegacy Wood companies
  • Experience in EPCM contract willbe advantageous
  • Balance of techical and managementexperience at relevant level and position.
  • Typicallyrequires several years of supervisory experience with anunderstanding of human relations, training, performance evaluationand health and safety · Broad and extensive knowledge ofengineering theories and techniques and a high level of skill inapplication of this knowledge in the management of the engineeringfunction
  • Capable of representing business and client tobusiness associates in a professional manner.
  • Excellentinterpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencingpeople at all levels of the organization.
  • Skilled inforecast planning for people resources.
  • Skilled inrecruitment and selection, employee communication and managementincluding performance management.
  • Able to implement andembed standards and processes to effect delivery of engineeringexcellence.
  • Good knowledge of regulatory framework andassociated legislation.
  • Current knowledge of industryand technology development within area of expertise.
