Job Description Job Summary:

As a Lead Lifeguard and Swimming Instructor, your main responsibility is to prioritize safety and ensure the wellbeing of swimming pool users. You will provide swimming classes to the community and assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the pool area. Additionally, you will be actively engaged in creating a welcoming environment and addressing patrons' needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and conduct swimming sessions tailored to the participants' skill levels.
  • Oversee swim lessons and coordinate learn-to-swim programs.
  • Monitor the pool area, perform water rescue and first aid procedures.
  • Check and maintain proper PH and Chlorine levels in the pool and Jacuzzi.
  • Ensure the safety of all pool occupants and uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Collaborate with the Pool Supervisor on maintenance needs and reports.
  • Manage inventory of chemicals and pool equipment.
  • Follow operational procedures and safety regulations diligently.
Requirements: Minimum Qualifications
  • College degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Hold valid American Red Cross CPR, Lifeguard, and First Aid certifications.
  • Previous experience as a Lifeguard and Swimming Instructor.
Experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in swim instruction and water rescue techniques.
  • Knowledge of pool management best practices.
Skills
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to teach swimming and water safety effectively.
  • Familiarity with swimming pool equipment and systems.
Working Environment:
  • Exposure to physical demands and varying work conditions.
  • Possible early mornings, late evenings, and outdoor work.
  • Regular interaction with community members and staff.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 45 lbs.
