We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, hardworking, and highly motivated, UK qualified, Secondary Spanish Teacher to join our rapidly expanding school. Ideal candidates should be able to teach Spanish to i/GCSE and A Level students.

For the right candidate, there is also the possibility of becoming Head of Year.

Successful candidates must have:

  • A certified UK teaching qualification, such as B.Ed, or PGCE
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Spanish
  • Exceptional subject knowledge and extensive experience in teaching the British National Curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5
  • Recent experience teaching i/GCSE and AS/A level Spanish (preferably with Cambridge or Pearson International Examinations)
  • A drive to help establish a thriving department in a new girls' school
  • A proven track record of delivering outstanding teaching and learning
  • Knowledge of how to tailor teaching materials to ensure all students can access the curriculum
  • Willingness to participate in extracurricular activities after school, with these hours included in the weekly timetable

Desirable qualities include:

  • Ability to teach French to KS2 classes and above
  • Experience in teaching students with English as an Additional or Second Language
  • Integration of technology in secondary education
  • Understanding of how STEM education can be incorporated into the curriculum
  • Recent UK teaching experience and prior international teaching exposure

Successful UK-based candidates will need to attend a meeting in Sherborne, Dorset on 5th & 6th July and travel for induction training in Qatar around 21st August 2024.
