Education

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hydrology, Civil Engineering, or a related field

Skills:

· Professional certification as a hydrologist or related discipline is a plus.

· Proficiency in relevant software for hydrological modeling and design.

· Knowledge of groundwater modeling tools and methodologies.

· Strong communication skills to convey technical information to diverse stakeholders.

· Familiarity with environmental regulations and permitting processes.

· Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Work Experience:

· 5+ years of Proven experience in hydrological analysis and dewatering system design.

Essential Duties

· Conduct hydrological assessments to understand groundwater conditions and fluctuations at construction sites.

· Analyze data related to precipitation, runoff, infiltration, and water table levels.

· Evaluate soil types, geological formations, and other site-specific factors influencing groundwater behavior.

· Collaborate with geotechnical engineers and other specialists to gather relevant data.

· Design effective dewatering systems based on project requirements and site conditions.

· Select appropriate dewatering methods, such as wellpoints, sumps, deep wells, or other techniques.

· Specify and size dewatering pumps based on the project's water removal needs.

· Ensure pump systems meet efficiency standards and are capable of handling anticipated flow rates.

· Stay informed about local and regional regulations related to dewatering activities.

· Ensure designs comply with environmental and regulatory requirements.

· Collaboration with Engineering Teams:

· Work closely with project managers, civil engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate dewatering plans into overall project designs.

· Provide technical support and expertise during project planning and execution.

· Prepare cost estimates for dewatering system implementation, including equipment, installation, and ongoing operation.

· Assist in budget planning and monitoring.

· Supervise or provide technical support during the installation and implementation of dewatering systems.

· Conduct periodic site visits to ensure the effectiveness and compliance of dewatering measures
