About the role:

This position is a key part of the MATAR-IT Cyber Security and Risk Management team, focusing on overseeing the information security management system (ISMS) for MATAR and its various business units. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with ISMS standards through regular assessments, audits, and corrective actions to maintain risk levels within acceptable thresholds.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess the effectiveness of information security controls in alignment with ISMS framework requirements.
  • Establish strong security standards, procedures, and controls to manage risks according to business needs.
  • Conduct ongoing evaluations of risks related to information systems and supporting infrastructures.
  • Monitor information security controls, exceptions, and risks continuously.
  • Prepare comprehensive management reports, including key performance indicators for information security controls.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders for audits and assessments, such as SOC-2, ISO 27001, and PCI.
  • Review IT service requests to ensure security compliance.
  • Evaluate project and operational changes for adherence to information security requirements.
  • Demonstrate expertise in information security management, governance, and compliance principles.
  • Understand IT systems, network infrastructure, data architecture, and protocols.
  • Proficient in cyber and cloud security frameworks, architecture, and operations.
  • Knowledgeable about information systems auditing, monitoring, and assessment processes.
  • Competent in incident response management and risk assessment methodologies.
Qualifications

About you:

  • Certification in either CISSP or CISM is required.
  • Additional certifications like CISA, CRISC, ISO 27001, Cloud Security, and PCI-DSS are beneficial.
  • Specialized knowledge in securing operational technology systems is preferred.
